I started out by giving it a basecoat of leftover "Pure and Original" paint in a dark brownish grey called "RISTRETTO"
I chose these colors thinking that it might look great in someone's lake cottage, and will be bringing it to my booth to try and sell.

So pretty! Love the color layering and distressing. You did a beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job. I would love to try the Blackberry brand of paint. I love how it's one of your go-to paints. That speaks volumes for how good it is. Love the layering of colors!! And totally agree...a little distressing took the piece from sweet to super. XOXO Susie from The Chelsea Project
ReplyDeleteLucy, you have definitely inspired me to get my layers on! I so agree that this piece would be fabulous in a lake or coastal home - so pretty. You rocked it girl!

ReplyDeletei always love these tables, i think they are perfect for small little spots and that every apartment or house should have at least one! My cat eats on mine in the kitchen...to stay away from her sister who would eat all her food...but is too heavy to jump up there herself!
ReplyDeleteSomeday I can claim it back. I think it needs a nice paint job like this!
Great job on the side table. I love the color! Also, good to know someone else has pets that want to get their pictures taken when your working too!
